What to Expect

Before Your First Session

  • Complete your digital intake forms through my secure, HIPAA-compliant portal before we meet.

  • Insurance, availability, and session reminders can all be handled online.

  • If you sign up for text or email notifications, you’ll receive an appointment reminder 24 hours before our session.

During Your First Session

  • Sessions last 55 minutes.

  • I’ll begin by asking how things have gone since we last connected, and how strategies we discussed are working for you.

  • The conversation is tailored to you — some sessions may focus on practical strategies, others may focus on listening and reflection.

Office Environment

  • Located in a quiet Birmingham office suite with a small waiting area.

  • Complimentary coffee, tea, and water are available.

  • The atmosphere is calm and low-stress to help you feel comfortable and at ease.

Telehealth

  • Virtual sessions are available through a secure, encrypted platform.

  • Helpful for those with limited travel time, mobility, or distance.

Cancellations & Scheduling

  • Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.

  • Missed sessions without notice may be charged the full rate.

  • Appointment reminders can be sent via text, call, or email 24 hours prior.

In Case of Urgent Needs

  • If you are experiencing a medical emergency, please call 911.

  • I provide all clients with my phone number and email for urgent concerns between sessions.
